Day 3. The final push!
Today we start the final leg of our journey with a little over 25 miles left to go. That number may not seem as daunting as our last two days which comprised themselves of 33 miles then another 33-35 miles on day 2. But lets recap... by the end of last night we were down 3 walkers due to injury but added Scott Boyd our speaker mid-afternoon. After dinner with some wonderful administration 6 dedicated souls continued the journey knocking down another 15-20 miles. One interesting tidbit of the night was the local patrol pulling 3 of our walkers over. Apparently our flashy truck looked a little out of place and someone called it in for "suspicious activities". We can't blame them really... a large truck with purple flames...tarps in the back...dirty sunburt hobbling people pilling into the back seat in pairs... Not the most normal sight you may come across on a highway outside Bursnville. Today however is a big muggy with a slight breeze for which that walkers are most thankful for. A pitstop at McDonalds for McChickens and McDoubles really brightened the spirits we just hope there isn't any adverse effect from stuffing our faces with greasy burgers in record timing. Until later!
